Our journey...

Purchased 4 years before the grand opening, the former engineering works needed alot of work.

Since opening the Hogs Head has been in a constant state of evolution.

In the exciting years we have been trading, we have doubled the size of our brew house, opened a second floor with a second bar and made numerous changes behind the scenes to better the experience of our customers.

This page will showcase all the hard work that has been put into the Hogs Head Brew House and also document exciting new projects as they unfold.

The Building

Since being purchased the building has been completely transformed. Rotting floors and the leaky roof have been replaced entirely to create the space many enjoy relaxing in today.

Our 16BBL Brew House

After quickly out growing our 8BBL brew house, we upgraded to a 16BBL. This meant we had to dig down in the cellar removing tons and tons of earth to allow for the head height of the new kit.

Coupled with our cask/keg washer and the Hop Rocket we can now keep up to demand with capacity for growth in the future and still maintain our high quality standards.

The Loft

With the outbreak of Covid-19 and the Government’s road to recovery limiting how the hospitality sector could reopen we needed more space. The Loft was the natural space to move into. A huge open space with exposed original rafters, you can’t tell that it’s a slightly smaller footprint than downstairs owing to the eaves.
