With six ales brewed in house ranging from a pale ale to a porter, a hoppy pale to a more trad style, a single malt single hop and an ale showcasing new techniques, there will be a brew to suit your palate.
We also have our own Lager on tap and also one ale pouring from keg.
Cask or Keg?...
From Cask
Pulling on a hand pump generates suction, which draws beer up the line from the cask and into the glass without the need for an electric pump or gas pressure.
From Keg
Kegs are a method of storing beer. These kegs will use pressurised gas (usually CO2) to force the product from the keg, through the lines and into the glass.

Pale Ale
Our most popular beer here at the Hogs Head consists of extra pale barley to give a pale session ale. A slight bitterness is achieved with the use of German Magnum accompanied with Amarillo and Simcoe hops to give a citrus floral session beer to quench your thirst. The landlords favourite.

Amber in colour and less floral than the White Hog this ale has a malty flavour with a bitter finish. If you’re a lover of traditional style bitter this is the one for you.
Hoppy Valley

Hoppy Pale Ale
Named after the village’s fame in the locally based drama Happy Valley this beer packs as much punch as the show did. Light golden in colour and full of flavour. Citra is the star of this beer giving it a real zesty kick. Not to be missed.

We brew our own lager!
Brewed with German malts and hops we have gone for a German Pilsner style. Fermented for two weeks and lagered (cold storage) for 6 weeks minimum at 0.7 degrees C this brew is a real labour of love and requires a bit more planning than our usual ales.
